Summer Patio Series – Hands on Cooking Classes

To all of our Garden and Bistro Friends. We are really excited to offer our first Hands on Cooking Classes on the Patio with Chef John Walls. The twinkly lights go on, music softly playing in the background and flowers everywhere. Chef John promises to make these nights to remember as well as learn new kitchen skills with old and new friends. He will be starting each class by teaching you a new cocktail recipe which we will all enjoy as he goes on to teach us all those secrets of the trade. Pair with two glasses of wine to go with your dinner and you will be telling all of your friends about what an enjoyable evening you had. So sign up soon as class sizes are limited.

Chef John

Hailing from White Rock, BC, Chef John D Walls fell in love with cooking at a young age, experimenting in the kitchen, he knew he wanted to be a Chef.
John has had an extensive, exciting career from starting out at 14 under the mentorship of talented Chefs, working in primarily white table cloth French restaurants leading to the opening of his own restaurant when he was 19. John’s experiences includes working as a Chef at sea, on board a live-aboard yacht, The William Tel and various other fine dining establishments. After being a part of Domaine de Chaberton’s award winning Bacchus Bistro since 2004, John is now a proud father of 3 and the Chef/Owner of House of Walls Culinary Magic. Providing private chef and catering services for all occasions, bringing back the art of the dinner party. John sees it as a privilege cooking and being a part of people’s special occasions.
John’s cooking philosophy is based on using quality ingredients and proper use of cooking techniques and heat transfer. John’s favourite ingredients are the use of salt and acid, to finish dishes.
