Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Miss Saori’

The beautiful double white blooms are liberally frosted with a pink to red edging and grows into a gently mounding shrub of approximately 3’ x 3’. Commentaries say this plant will stay this colour in all soils but here in the acidic soil of the Fraser Valley ours has turned a rich purple in the garden. The large mop head flowers look wonderful in cut flower arrangements. It prefers a partially shaded area with well drained but moisture retentive soil. Prune flowers to next set of buds after flowering in late fall to maintain plant size if needed. This plant will lure beneficial pollinators to the garden.
